How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Develop and implement quality and patient safety systems, policies, and data collection procedures.
  • Lead and advise on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including training for leaders, staff, and physicians.
  • Investigate root causes and analyze trends in serious adverse events and near misses; implement corrective action.
  • Manage regulatory reporting of adverse events and coordinate with legal counsel on claims defense.
  • Advance organizational knowledge of best practices in quality and safety through research and regulatory awareness.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Quality Professional preferred.
  • Risk Management preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

What additional preferences we're seeking
  • Master's degree; CPHQ and CPPS certifications are a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years acute care experience, including at least 2 years in quality/patient safety and 3 years in management/leadership.
  • Must be a confident leader who can present complex quality data to executive leadership.
