Our BAE Systems team in Fort Wayne is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer candidate to support the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) team. The core purpose of the CCA Manufacturing Engineer position is to leverage technical experience to develop all required manufacturing processes and procedures for complex aerospace engines, flight and airframe electronic CCA's. This effort will also require teaming with colleagues to achieve required design, quality, cost and delivery expectations.
The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional team to provide technical support and feedback as they relate to product manufacturability for Circuit Card Assemblies.
In addition, the successful candidate will also need to:
- Provide technical support to establish manufacturing methods to improve process flow
- Support investigations to determine root cause of defects
- Ensure readiness for new programs transitioning from Development into full Production
- Review/approve changes to production methods due to design changes
- Resolve engineering configuration / hardware issues
- Analyze data to identify changes in process methods and product design
- Identify technical solutions to address quality issues
- Support failure analysis through collaboration with colleagues
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement through consistent application of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Drive KPI (Key Process Indicators) improvements revolving around Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Utilization and execution of customer demand at the department level
- Able to manage multiple projects, multiple deadlines, assuring schedules are defined and met, to prioritize work appropriately to meet commitments
- Understand cost impact of process challenges and provide root cause and corrective actions

- Degree in Engineering with experience in electronic manufacturing and processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical requirements
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's Degree and equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial, systems, engineering, or other relevant discipline
- Lean Manufacturing Certificate
- Working knowledge of Statistical Analysis including SPC, CpK, MSA, DOE
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Full understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
