We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Coordinator of Student Activities in Student Life Department. This position will be responsible for coordinating student activities and programs. The pay for this position is $43,888.08 annually.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Student Activities Board committee chairs, assistant chairs, and general members to ensure programs are planned and executed to best practices standards.
  • Responsible for recruitment, leadership development, and training of Student Activities Board members.
  • Responsible for budget and supply management, including contracts, certificates of insurance, association memberships, cash handling, and other associated duties.
  • Build a positive rapport with students, staff, and faculty by maintaining availability and visibility, while building positive relationships.
  • Establish strategic and measurable learning goals for areas of governance and intentionally create environments/programs to facilitate student learning and development and assess at regular intervals.
  • Serve as primary contact for SAB social media channels and build engaging and dynamic social media posts, stories, contests, etc.
  • Build sustainable growth for current signature programs including Campus Kickoff, Homecoming, Spring Fling, Bingo series, etc.
  • Create and implement new signature Student Activities Board programming to enrich the student experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree - open to May 2026 graduates -
  • 1-2 years’ experience coordinating student activities and programs at a higher education institution.
  • Experience designing, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating co-curricular activities and programs and implementing support programs and activities.
  • Programming experience with traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Ability to work effectively with and motivate students and volunteers while providing growth and development opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to successfully execute all components of various student programs.
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to accurately assess student needs, interact effectively with diverse populations, navigate difficult issues and competing needs.
  • Must be able to oversee a large operating budget effectively.
  • Demonstrated skills and proficiency with computers, software applications and emerging technologies.
  • M-F 8 -5 with some evenings/weekends as needed for events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in operations for higher education student activities and programs.
